A Flower for Linda

I've been so busy landscaping and "DIYing" lately that I let my painting fall to the side.  I've eyed my paints and canvases, but wasn't inclined to attempt any new paintings.  They just sat, forlorn, in the corner of my studio - abandoned but not forgotten.

My sister's birthday is coming up.  The card I chose for her had a very simple painting of a flower on its cover.  I loved the picture so much, I was inspired to paint my own version.  The paint flowed from my brush, this piece truly was effortless.  It is my favourite work to date...
