Have a great day!

Giving Thanks

It's Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend and as I took a walk around my neighbourhood, I couldn't help feeling such appreciation and thankfulness for where I am today.

I am thankful for my gorgeous home and yard -

for the trails that are right outside my door -

for the beautiful scenery I enjoy every day -

for gorgeous fall colour -

for a neighbourhood filled with people who look out for one another -

and for the lovely pets that I have been blessed to share my life with:

I am thankful for so many more things, but if I listed all of them my post would go on forever.  There is one more thing to mention here that I am thankful for.  I am so thankful for all of you who come and read what I have to share.  Thank you for being here and coming back time and time again dear friends.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Rustic DIY Shutters for $10

Build these easy DIY shutters for $10!  I love shutters. If I could get my hands on more shutters, my house would be full of them.  Instead, I've taken to building my own.   This week, I've been working on indoor shutters for the new window I installed a month ago - holy crap, can it be a month ago already?!  Time sure flies...

Aren't they cute?!  I love them!!!

Moving 101 or How to Move Without Losing Your Mind

I’ve moved 32 times since I first left home. It’s mind boggling to me that I moved that many times but I have moving down to a fine science now. I once had to pack an entire house and move to the other side of the country in less than 20 days. I did it easily!

Moving is stressful and the more organized you are, the easier it becomes.  Get the whole family involved or not - only you know whether this will help you or hinder you.  Take it easy and start working on it the moment you know you're moving - you'll be glad you started early.

Here are 10 tips to help you get organized, pack and manage easily once you get into your new place.
