I'm Hibernating til Spring...

Do you feel like that too?  I just want to hole up until Spring arrives again!!  So since I haven't been able to pull myself together to write up all the projects I've done, please enjoy this photo post of my Sunday afternoon.

My Mountain Ash has been full of robins this fall.  It's a small tree but there are at least 10 - 20 birds sitting in it whenever I go outside!

The view of the Purcell Mountains from the hill above my house.

And from farther up the hill...

Max stops for a brief moment to peer at me from behind the Russian Olive tree.

and gets closer when I start taking photos of the garden...

My Hansa rose bush has gorgeous colour.

My crabapple tree in its final flourish.

More of the trails in Kimberley, there are so many - literally hundreds of kilometres of them.

Feeling very small under these towering larch trees.

Moving on to more trails, this next one is called the Lion's Trail (for the Lions Club)

The Volksmarch Trail

Mark Creek Crossing

The NorthStar Rails to Trails - a paved trail connecting two cities that was converted from an old Canadian Pacific railway track.

The street where I live...

It's definitely time for a nap.

Have a happy week!

Hi Anne, not your usual post :) It's nice to see a little bit around your area, mostly because it's absolutely gorgeous where you live!! How I would love to trek through those wooded trails. We used to have a little stand of larch trees, and I loved the brilliant yellow they would turn in fall. Max has certainly matured into a regal cat. My neighbour has a mountain ash, and I've noticed this year that the robins have really been loving the berries. I wonder if maybe it was a good year for the berries ... or are these little signs of a hard winter ahead?! I'm not ready to hibernate just yet (I'll wait till the snow flies). Wendy x

Well now you've reminded me how much I miss the mountains! I nearly forgot about my ash tree and the cedar waxwings that used to visit it. Lovely post and pics Anne!

Your photos are stunning and such a wonderful treat to see this morning. You live in paradise! They'd make a great book, Anne. I'm feeling like hibernating, too, and having a heck of a time getting motivated for Halloween decorating. So glad you had a wonderful Sunday.

I know how you feel. Colder weather just makes me want to put on my pajamas, drink coffee or cocoa and watch tv!

Love your photos, so beautiful!

I am definitely ALL about the hibernating. So thankful I can work from home as I don't do cold OR dark well. :) We have already gone under 0 degrees at night here and I am using my space heater every so often in my office to warm up my toes.

But there is definitely something nice about being appreciating the time to be cozy!!

I love your pictures. That bird is precious!

Your photos are stunning, especially that first one with the bird. I'm spotting so many birds in our back yard now that I've never seen before. I think it's the most gorgeous fall we've had since we moved into this house. Not hibernating yet, but I know the feeling. Hope to "see" you around!
