Cottage Dining Room with Painted Furniture

Now that my dining room has new curtains and my hutch has a new paint job, it was time to change up the space a bit more.

I love my ladder back chairs.  I have 3 of them, two that match and one that is slightly smaller.  This is what they looked like originally.

Oy that orange!!!!!  Thankfully now a distant memory...

My dining room hutch now looks like this

And the chair - not so cute anymore...

With my new creamy white linen drapes and my gorgeous turquoise hutch, I picked up some new turquoise cushions for my wicker dining room chairs.  Then I went to town painting my chairs turquoise (naturally!).

Here's the new dining room:

Someday I'll get around to painting the walls as well.  I really love the pops of bright blue!

Have a great day!

  4. It makes such a difference when you have a few coordinating pieces. Love that aqua shade. I like the way you left the natural wood colour on the 'counter' of the hutch. Great work Anne!
